Accord Hospice, dedicated to providing compassionate palliative and end-of-life care, undertook a major refurbishment of their 8-bed Inpatient Unit to create a modern, functional, yet homely environment. They approached Innova Care Concepts, their trusted fit-out specialists, to assist with the project.
The challenge was to modernize the unit with specialist equipment and furniture that would enhance patient care while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This involved integrating bespoke furniture, specialized beds, and supportive equipment to improve functionality and patient comfort.
Innova’s solution included installing eight Integralift bedhead hoist systems, custom-built wardrobes with drug cabinets, profiling care beds, and hybrid mattresses. The project also featured custom-colored Arene Mk II rise and recline chairs, attendant couches, and overbed tables, along with a Raizer emergency lifting chair. The refurbishment, supported by Innova’s attentive planning and after-care, successfully met Accord Hospice’s goals, blending modern functionality with a homely touch.
