Garadh a Bagh a Tuath (GaBaT), based on the Isle of Barra, sought to enhance accessibility for its growing number of visitors and volunteers with disabilities. They needed to install the first Changing Place facility in the Western Isles to accommodate these needs effectively.
Innova Care Concepts was brought on board to design and install this specialized facility. The project included the installation of an AirRise200 hoist system, a height-adjustable nursing bench, and a Geberit Mera Care wash and dry toilet. Despite the logistical challenges of the remote location, Innova managed every aspect of the project, from equipment delivery to staff training.
The new Changing Place facility is set to make the garden and its activities accessible to everyone, regardless of physical needs, significantly improving the inclusivity of GaBaT’s services.
