The Matt Hampson Foundation, established in 2011 by former rugby player Matt Hampson OBE, provides support and rehabilitation for individuals with serious injuries or disabilities. The Foundation’s Get Busy Living Centre in Burrough on the Hill, Leicestershire, moved to a new £1 million facility in 2018 to offer advanced physiotherapy, personal training, and wellness services.
To improve the Centre’s functionality and aesthetic, the Foundation enlisted Innova Care Concepts for specialized healthcare equipment. Innova supplied and installed AirRise overhead hoist systems, Formidabel care beds, and pressure care mattresses, aiming to create a functional yet homely environment rather than a clinical one.
Innova addressed the Foundation’s needs by installing two inset track monorail hoist systems with AirRise200 hoists, allowing for seamless transfers from bedrooms to en-suite bathrooms. They also provided Liberta beds with wall spacers, under-bed lights, and custom head and footboards, along with high-risk pressure mattresses for enhanced comfort and care.
Innova’s solutions helped the Foundation achieve a balance between functionality and a welcoming, non-clinical environment, enhancing the overall experience for users at the Centre.
