Innova joins forces with Permobil to supply powered wheelchairs

Posted on 18 April 2018 in Powered Wheelchairs

The Innova team is delighted to say that we are partnering with the world’s largest electric wheelchair manufacturer Permobil to supply their products. This will be incredibly useful in our work with case management and litigation projects.

We announced our expansion into case management earlier this year, and we’re now a trusted, quality supplier in litigation projects up and down the country. By offering the Permobil range, we hope to provide extra mobility, independence, and dignity to those who have had life-changing injuries.

Permobil first contacted us a few months ago to discuss us taking on their product range. Our specialists will now carry out customer assessments and sales of Permobil powerchairs. This means that not only can we offer full home adaptations and fit-outs, we can also see to specialised mobility equipment as well.

One of our litigation projects advisors Tristan said:

“Whilst the vast majority of our product range is manufactured by ourselves or manufactured under license, in this instance, we have decided to take on Permobil’s range as it is so flexible and clearly some of the best electric wheelchairs on the market.

“It’s certainly an exciting time for us and we’re already seeing good growth in the litigation sector.”

Our engineers and specialists will undergo training with Permobil to ensure that they are fully equipped on everything regarding the products, whether it’s specifying a custom powerchair for a client, or carrying out routine servicing and maintenance. A representative from Permobil will also be flying in from Norway to deliver a speech at our Litigation Project Conference in May.

Permobil first started in Sweden over 50 years and has been expanding and supplying high-quality electric wheelchairs all over the world ever since. One of the most famous Permobil users was the late Dr Stephen Hawking, who was regularly photographed in his custom chair.

Permobil UK’s General Manager, Gordon Cunningham, said:

“Permobil and Innova are a great fit — we are both providing customers with high-end technology and great quality. What’s equally important to us both is making sure our customers have first class service end-to-end.

“Our new arrangement has started at a great pace with orders already in and more on the way. Business partnerships like this are of huge benefit not just to Permobil as a business, but also to our customers. I have every confidence that this will be a business relationship that brings Permobil and Innova significant growth in our focus markets.”
