When Jade sought to adapt her home for her son Lukas, who has cerebral palsy, she turned to Innova Care Concepts for expert help in creating a fully accessible living space. Lukas, age 10, needed specialized equipment to enhance his mobility and independence at home.
Innova’s team worked closely with Jade to design and implement a bespoke home adaptation that addressed both Lukas’ current and future needs. The project included the installation of a two-level Ultilift for moving between floors, AirGlide360 H-frame tracking hoists with AirRise200 hoists, and a high-tech Avero specialist bath with light therapy and other features. The bathroom was also equipped with height-adjustable sinks and Geberit Aquaclean Mera Care wash dry toilets to facilitate Lukas’ independence.
A separate annex was built, including its own hoist system and bathroom facilities, to accommodate Lukas’ future needs. The design balanced functionality with style, ensuring a seamless integration of equipment into the home.
Jade praised the result, highlighting how the modifications, including the lift and adjustable sinks, significantly improved Lukas’ independence and ease of use. Innova’s careful consideration of Lukas’ mobility and needs during the project was instrumental in creating a supportive and stylish home environment.
“I had my house adapted for my son, Lukas, who has cerebral palsy, and contacted Innova as they are a company that specialise in disabilities.
“They supplied us with a hoist system in two rooms, a bath that was high low rise and two sinks. The sinks are amazing, it is helping us so much because Lukas is able to pull them up if needed, or they can go down if he is sitting in his wheelchair.
“We had an amazing lift put in as well, which Lukas can go in on his own. They’ve just helped us out massively.
“It’s just so nice to see Lukas having so much independence. I would definitely recommend them.”
