Overview

St Catherine’s Hospice, serving West Sussex and East Surrey for over 40 years, embarked on an ambitious project to move to a larger, state-of-the-art facility in Pease Pottage, Crawley. With the new £19.5 million building featuring 24 beds, private gardens, and specialized rooms for dementia patients, the hospice required a cohesive interior design that would create a welcoming, modern atmosphere while meeting care and hygiene standards.

Innova Care Concepts partnered with St Catherine’s to provide a comprehensive interior design package. Through consultations with the hospice and collaboration with Interior Designer Jane Verity-Smart, Innova developed a design that balanced aesthetics with functionality, ensuring a calm and comfortable environment for patients and staff. They also prioritized sustainability, choosing durable, long-lasting furniture to maximize value.

Innova’s involvement extended beyond design; they managed the storage, delivery, and installation of the furniture, even accommodating last-minute changes with their flexible logistics team. The final fitout included a variety of seating options, dining furniture, and lounges, all tailored to enhance the care environment at St Catherine’s Hospice.

Client Quote(s)

“Innova really understood what we were after, attention to detail right from the design concept through to delivery has been really supportive. There was always the interior designer on hand, able to talk us through things to be able to share visuals. They also supported us on the fit out, ensuring the specification was exactly matched to the design.”
